Here is a little about me

Hi! I am Nina.

I am currently at Google on the Google Payments Team in New York as a Software Engineer. I enjoy building interactive platforms with intuitive UX/UI. I am passionate about learning, teaching, and trying new things.

Before joining Google, I studied Computer Science and Statistics at Harvard College, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree. During my undergrad, I interned at a student runned start-up, HSA-DEV, and at Google as a Software Engineer.

I taught a class of 20-30 students on fundamental Computer Science concepts for CS50, Harvard's Introduction to Computer Science course. I earned the Harvard University Certificate of Distinction in Teaching award for excellence in teaching in Fall 2020.

On the Google Payments product area, I worked on a cross-functional team to design and build a tool to analyze machine learning models in the Payment Risk team. I implemented new backend APIs and database interfacers using Java, connected different backends, and implemented a complex UI using Angular to display model data, experiments, and features.

Within the Google Cloud product area, I worked on a cross-functional team to design and build enhancements to an internal analytics dashboard using Typescript and Angular. I implemented a complex UI using RxJs and NgRx, used Firestore for storage, and designed and implemented a complex material design-like stepper form.

EVICE

A flask based web app that allows user to compare efficiency and price of electric vehicles and internal combustion engine. Compares based on make, model, and year of the vehicle; has autoGPS functionality.

Satsuma

A web app that uses the Yelp API to help users find a group of people to eat at a new resturant together. The user can make an appointment to set up a time and place that works for the group.

PSETBUDDY

A web app allows the user to request a problem set buddy for every Harvard course the user is currently taking. The user can login, request for psetbuddy, accept other users request, and email other users.

HackHarvard

  • HackHarvard Global: A web app built by using React and Node.js to inform competitors about HackHarvard Global online competition.
  • IvyHacks

A Timeline of South Asian History

A web app built using OpenScholars. It is a digital humanities project conducted by Vaishnavi Patil to provide a comprehensive timeline for South Asian History.
